the Rider's Edge® courses offer hands-on instruction and real-road experience that can teach you the skills
you need to get the most out of riding.

The Rider's Edge® New Rider Course
A proven blend of classroom instruction and range riding,
the Rider's Edge New Rider Course delivers the basics of motorcycle operation in Harley-Davidson style.
You'll learn from devoted instructors certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® and
Harley-Davidson to create a relaxed, supportive environment that fosters camaraderie and confidence.
After passing written and riding skills evaluation, you'll receive an MSF RiderCourseSM Completion
Card that may exempt you from the riding portion of the motorcycle license test, as well as possibly
qualify you for discounts on insurance. But more than that, you'll begin a journey that lasts a lifetime.
The New Rider Course includes the use of a Buell® Blast®.

INFORMATION ON RIDER'S EDGE? AT APPLETON'S
The cost for the New Rider's Course is $250, of which a deposit of $125 is due to reserve your spot. Classes are scheduled on Thursday and Friday evenings (classroom hours), and Saturday and Sunday durring the day (range hours).
To take the course, you will need:
To be at least 15 years of age
To know how to ride a bicycle
A valid automobile driver's license or learner's permit
Jeans, sturdy over-the-ankle boots or shoes, full-fingered motorcycle gloves, a heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket and protective eyewear
A helmet that meets DOT specifications
Motorcycle:
You'll be riding the 492cc Buell? Blast?, a light, easy to handle sport bike with a rider-friendly design that will have you feeling in control. We have two diffrent size bikes to fit just about anyone.
Cancellation Policy: If you can not attend your class and do not notify us at least fourteen days before the class start date, there will be no refund. If you need to call and reschedule your class, we can reschedule you up to two times. Your class must be paid in full two weeks before your class starts. We take cash, credit, or check.
No Refunds Given if a Student:
A. Misses any portion of the required classroom or range time for any reason
B. Is dismissed from class for unruly / unsafe actions
C. Drops out
D. Is disrespectful or reckless and a dismissal is required
E. Arrives at the range without required safety gear
F. Fails riding test or written test
